Gypsum is a city in Saline County and is included in the Salina Micropolitan Statistical Area. The community was named for the mineral mined there (This is not the only community in Kansas named Gypsum.) It is located approximately 15 miles south east from Salina. The school district is the popular South East of Saline. The average commute time is 20 minutes.
