Katy recently helped my mother find and buy a house in Salina, and I don't think I can say enough positive things about our experience with her. During this physically and emotionally difficult move for mom, Katy was professional, respectful, efficient, knowledgeable and sensitive to not only the normal challenges of moving (finding a house you like, is in your budget, is in the right location, etc), but also to all of those nuanced and intangible feelings and needs that played a part in the decision making, ie moving from your home of 20 years, the emotional adjustment of moving from the country into town, etc. She also was great about including and working with multiple family members during the entire process which was necessary and very much appreciated. We feel very fortunate to have had her as mom's real estate agent during this move, and would happily recommend her to anyone!

Katy was patient, kind, and respectful to my aging mother. She provided services way above what you would normally expect a realtor to perform. As I lived out of town and Mom was very stressed about her impending move, she would often call Katy for help. Finding contractors to provide estimates for small repairs, hiring someone to mow the yard, and even coming by to replace a battery in a chirping smoke detector are only a few of the many things in which Katy helped us. With the sudden, tragic death of my cousin, I found myself in the position of being will- and court-named Executor of her estate. Since my husband and I are retired, live in Texas, and knew we would need to handle the sale of her home largely from afar, we also knew we needed to find an excellent realtor to assist us. We found Katy through a Dallas Coldwell Banker realtor-friend of ours, who quickly found one of Salina's best realtors to recommend to us - yes, that turned out to be Katy England! Katy immediately took hold of the situation, even when we explained (and she saw) that the house was a wreck, because my cousin had become significantly disabled and unable to keep up with the cleaning and care of the lovely home she had lived in all her life, and most of us in her extended family knew and loved, too. So, with its owner's deteriorating health, though the basic house remained in good shape, things had piled up hoarder-like all over the place! Katy, however, was undaunted. She immediately saw the potential that could result from cleaning, re-carpeting and repairing the mess, and was ready to take on the responsibility of overseeing the auctioning and selling for donation of a house and basement full of several generations of accumulation. We, on the other hand, had to drive back to Texas, doing what we could from there, but trusting Katy to see that house was made ready for sale. Katy was unbelievable!! In a matter of a few short weeks, though we made a trip or two back to Salina with other family members to help with some details, she made all the arrangements for cleaning, clearing out, and restoring, with professionals with whom she had connections, and all for very reasonable fees. Before we knew it, the house was ready to sell, and already held such appeal that the first day on the market saw a raft of viewers, and by the second morning was sold! All I can say in summary is WOW! Katy has been so thorough, so conscientious, so knowledgeable and creative, so willing to help out with details beyond what one might expect. It took someone with visionary and artistic instincts to create something so affordably beautiful - a house re-born, really - out of a house that had so sadly deteriorated. It almost makes the fact that the sale which brought a significantly higher price than we ever imagined seem secondary to the gratification that a home that our whole family has known and loved for generations has now come back to life! Katy England is a real estate professional in all respects. She will look over the property for anything you may have missed, offer up observations, and in general look out for your best interest. Katy listens to what interests you, and what doesn't, about the showings and she will make suggestions. She also went above and beyond what I think a lot of agents would have - I was out of state and needed her to look/inspect a property that had just come on the market that night so I could get an offer in right away. I recommend Katy to anyone looking for an excellent real estate agent - she is knowledgeable, a pleasure to work with and she can refer you to just about anyone, or business, you might need concerning your move. It is my privilege to recommend Katy England as a real estate professional. Katy sold my mother's home in two days but our preparation to sell began a year prior to that time. Katy was patient, kind, and respectful to my aging mother. She provided services way above what you would normally expect a realtor to perform. As I lived out of town and Mom was very stressed about her impending move, she would often call Katy for help. Finding contractors to provide estimates for small repairs, hiring someone to mow the yard, and even coming by to replace a battery in a chirping smoke detector are only a few of the many things in which Katy helped us. Katy gave my mother not only the support she needed but also a feeling of true compassion and thoughtful care. She was always available to take our calls, responsive to all of our requests, and sincerely a resource we benefited from immensely. Without any hesitation, I would certainly employee Katy in any capacity as a buyer's or seller's representative in all real estate transactions.
